Awakening is a series that accelerates the journey from inspiration to meaning. Arriving at the Truth requires more thorough observation and contemplation than our brains are trained for. We label and associate in the effort to understand, but going beyond appearance to arrive at what something means requires time to consider context and gain perspective. These works attempt to quiet the visual complexity of inspiration so the viewer experiences an awakening of meaning, and even purpose.
